First Fridays at The Natural History Museum

Miss all those field trips you would take as kid? You were most likely just goofing around the museum with your friends, thankful that you were anywhere but stuck in a tiny classroom. Nowadays, museum strolling is the go-to date night or hang in the city. With most museums closing before 6PM every day, The Natural History Museum wanted to do something a little fun for adults, young and old, to reminisce field trips days. Can’t forget the drinks and music too!
From February until June, The Natural History Museum will be hosting First Fridays. Every first Friday of the month, they’ll be keeping the museum open late for drinks, music, and scientist discussions about the good and bad of sci-fi films! Tickets are only $18 and include access to the museum after-hours, guided tours, scientist-led discussions, the DJ lounge, and the Concert Hall.
Last Friday, we saw Mark Redito (fka Spazzkid), Boulevards, and The Hood Internet perform at the museum. It was like no other concert experience! There’s nothing like hanging out at the museum, alongside the giant dinosaurs and animals, seeing everyone come together for the love of music. If you go, definitely check out all the exhibits because there’s a ton! They’ve even got food trucks outside the entrance just in case you need a quick snack.
